Nepal Law Campus is the oldest college for legal education in Nepal since 2011 B.S. NLC is located at the Bagbazar, Kathmandu. As a campus of Tribhuvan University and as the oldest institution imparting law degrees, NLC has a great contribution and plays an essential role in Legal Education. NLC is renowned for providing the best and most competent leadership for the judiciary and other mechanisms within the country and abroad.

NLC is running a 3-year LLB program, a 5-year BALLB program, a 2-year master’s program, and a 3-year master’s program. Its products are getting the highest positions in legal and administrative sectors like the Attorney General of Nepal, Chief Justice of Nepal, Justices of the Supreme Court, judges and judicial officers in Nepal, researchers and academians in various renowned universities around the globe, and so on.

LLB is a three-year course that can be done by students who have completed Bachelor’s in any subject.

Students who passed the 10 plus two are eligible for admission to this program after passing the entrance examination. For TU, the minimum GPA is 2.0, the minimum D+ grade in all subjects from accredited universities or boards recognized by Tribhuvan University, and the minimum C grade in all subjects for KU. A total of 280 students get admission each year.

Two campuses i.e. Nepal Law Campus located in Kathmandu provide admission for 105 students and the Prithivi Narayan Multiple Campus located at Pokhara provides admission for 35 students each year on a merit basis.

The Campus produces many law graduates who are involved in different governmental and non-governmental organizations inside the country and in a foreign countries.

Research Journal

Two academic and research-based journals namely Nepal Law Review and Nepal Journal of Legal Studies (NJLS) are published by Nepal Law Campus. Nepal Law Review, English Language Publication, which is published yearly has been published since 1977. Articles relating to legal and constitutional affairs, legal developments, commentaries, analyses, book reviews and case comments, and overall reviews in the field of domestic and international law can be brought for publication. Articles must not be copied, research-oriented, and must not be published in any journal, book, or in any other form.

The journal accepts original and published manuscripts in the form of articles, essays, and comments annually. The journal is based on a double-blind peer-review format. The journal also accepts interdisciplinary contributions relating to the legal field in the global arena.

Computer Lab

The computer lab is available on Nepal Law Campus for legal research purposes. It is well facilitated with free wifi and sufficient materials for research.
